Exploring San Francisco on the Bay

Visitors to San Francisco can explore their adventurous side with the Red and White Fleet’s Explorer Cruise (available through September 6) and the California Academy of Sciences (with the “Extreme Mammals” exhibit showing through September 12).

The Red and White Fleet’s Explorer Cruise features a chance to explore San Francisco's unique natural history, architecture and Native American culture on a 90-minute cruise, which sails under the San Francisco Bay Bridge, along the stunning San Francisco skyline, around Treasure Island, along Alcatraz Island, and past AT&T Park.

Passengers on the boat can enjoy a full bar with drinks, snacks and merchandise.

The Explorer Cruise sails daily at 3:30 p.m. through September 6, 2010 from Pier 43 ½. Prices are $36 for adults (18+); $24 for youth (5-17); or a family pass for only $89 (good for two adults and up to four youth).

Red and White Fleet’s “Hop on, Hop Off City Loop” tour includes transportation to the California Academy of Sciences for an additional $30 per adult or $13 per youth, when purchased together with the Explorer Cruise.
